Mark your calendars: March 7, 2026, San Marcos River Clean up
Another year has gone by. Mark your calendars on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 to be in San Marcos Texas for the San Marcos River Rendezvous, the longest river single day clean up in Texas. As usual, we will have camping and Saturday dinner available to all persons cleaning up the river.
River section leaders will be confirmed and published before the end of the year. Typical sections are listed below for your consideration:
- Thompson’s Island to The San Marcos River Retreat (3.5 miles)
- San Marcos River Retreat to Sculls Crossing (4 miles) or Spencer Canoes (additional 2 mi.)
- Spencer Canoes to Staples – Hwy 1977 (5 miles)
- Staples to Fentress – Hwy 20 (9 miles)
- Fentress to Prairie Lea 1 (2miles)
- Prairie Lea 1 to Stairtown (5 miles)
- Stairtown to Luling – Hwy 90 (6.5miles)
- Hwy 90 to Zedler Dam (6 mi.) A TPWD paddling trail
- Zedler Dam to Palmetto State Park (14.4 mi.)
