Lakes, Bays ‘N Bayous Trash Bash® River Cleanup

Mark your calendar for Trash Bash 2024: Saturday March 23, 2024 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The River, Lakes, Bays ‘N Bayous Trash Bash® will celebrate the 30th annual cleanup of Galveston Bay and its tributaries on Saturday March 23, 2024! This is the largest, single-day waterway cleanup in Texas. Cleanups are planned for 14 different sites in the Houston area. Find out more at the Trash Bash® website https://www.trashbash.org/. Last year’s Trash Bash collected over 40.5 tons of trash at 14 locations. More than 2400 volunteers also gathered 219 tires and almost 0.5 tons of recyclable materials, while cleaning 108 miles of shoreline. Just under half of the volunteers were under 18 years of age, and about 15 percent were scouts.
